NOTES: New Scotland Yard was built in two phases, the North Building (1890) and South Building (1906). It was the headquarters of the Metropolitan Police until 1967 and from 1979 was known as the Norman Shaw Buildings and used as Parliamentary offices. See RIBA102263 which shows the same image without the main gates, probably prior to refurbishment.
