NOTES: Closed as a cinema in 1981, this building reopened as a snooker hall c.1986. This closed in 1991. It was then briefly used by the Capones American Bar nightclub. Facing the prospect of demolition, this building being one of the only true examples of Art Deco architecture in the town was designated Grade II listed status in 1991. The building was restored in 2003 and reopened as the Newport City Live Arena in 2004. In early 2010 the building had been taken over to be developed into a museum of cinema and television equipment history.
