NOTES: Constructed on the site of the kitchen garden of the monastery of San Michele ad Hortum, this church is known as the Kitchen Garden of St Michael. Designed originally as a market and grain store by Francesco Talenti in 1337, the arcades of the loggia were enclosed a few decades later by three-light Gothic windows which were bricked up shortly after they were completed. However, the ornate tracery can still be seen.
