Preliminary design for an arbour, The Warren, Hayes, Bromley, London, for Martin Ridley Smith

NOTES: Martin Ridley Smith was one of Devey's last clients. He employed Devey to carry out additions to The Warren, then called Warren House, including a billiard room, conservatory, three cottages and garden works. This design for a garden seat or arbour slightly differs from the one built. The Warren is now a conference and sports venue owned by the Metropolitan Police.
