NOTES: The standards have been quickly traced from Pugin's drawings, and on top, in pencil (probably in Barry's hand), are designs for the positions of the lights. There were prolonged difficulties over the lighting arrangements, particularly in the House of Lords, where gas fittings were not allowed.
