NOTES: The Hall, Treasury, Benchers' Rooms and Library were designed in Perpendicular Gothic Revival style by Sydney Smirke and were completed in 1870. The proposed extension involved the demolition of Tanfield Buildings, opposite King's Bench Walk, to the north of the Library.
