Rathaus and fountain, Markt, Altstadt, Lubeck

NOTES: Situated at the estuary of the Trave River, Lubeck is the largest German port on the Baltic Sea and was for several centuries the prime port of the Hanseatic League. Construction on the town hall began in 1226 and was completed in 1484. The Dutch Renaissance style loggia was added in 1570.
