Notes NOTES: The Reichstag has been the seat of the Bundestag since April 1999. The original 1894 building (architect Paul Wallot), damaged by a 1933 fire and bombs during World War II, was gutted and new interiors and services created by Foster for the parliament of the reunited Germany.
