NOTES: The Reid Building, named after a former director of the Art School, has been built on the site facing the north front of the Mackintosh building on Renfrew Street. The site was occcupied by buildings of varying dates, including a listed 1930s Assembly Building. The brief was to demolish all the existing buildings, but architect Steven Holl proposed retaining the 1930s Assembly building, which has been incorporated into the new design.
