NOTES: The main building of this boys' public school was largely destroyed by fire in March 1979. It comprised the Great Hall surrounded by classrooms on three sides. The restoration undertaken by Arup Associates involved raising the Great Hall to first floor level and to provide a new south entrance from the school quadrangle. The external appearance of the building remained largely unaltered.
