NOTES: The northern facade is by Domenico Fontana (1586), but the Baptistery dates back to 440 AD century and possibly to 315 AD during the the reign of Constantine. It is considered to be the earliest baptistery in Rome. It was restored in 885 and in the 12th century, with further embellishments in the 17th century.
