NOTES: The Serpentine Gallery was designed by Henry Tanner Jnr and built in 1934 as a tea pavilion.The 2008 pavilion was comprised of large timber planks and a complex network of overlapping glass planes, anchored by four massive steel columns. It was designed by Frank Gehry and engineered by Arup.
