NOTES: The South Kilburn Estate dates from 1959 to the mid-1960s. By the early 2000s it was perceived as failing both socially and architecturally, In 2004 Brent Council commissioned PRP Architects to provide a masterplan for the regeneration of the estate, to be carried out in phases over a 15 year period. The plan involved demolition of much of the estate and replacement with new structures. A number of architectural practices practices have also been commissioned, including PRP Architects, Lipschutz Davidson and Alison Brooks Architects, as part of the masterplan.
