NOTES: This church dates from 1200 when the nave was built. In 1864-1868 William Butterfield rebuilt much of the church, notably the chancel, porch and roof, and re-ordered the interior. This photograph is one of a number taken by Professor Thompson for his book entitled William Butterfield (London, Routledge and K. Paul, 1971).
