NOTES: In 1970-1971 Peter Blake produced a series of eight watercolours depicting scenes and characters from Through the Looking Glass for a new edition of the book, but the project wasn't realised except for a series of prints. In 1972 Peter Blake in collaboration with Geoffrey Robinson had four stained glass windows made from the watercolour illustrations. They were subsequently installed in his home in London. See RIBA110157 for a colour version of this image.
