NOTES: This drawing is numbered X/20 verso in the Burlington-Devonshire Collection. It shows details of the Doric and Ionic entablatures and a plan of the arcade of the Theatre of Marcellus, Rome. The theatre was begun by Julius Caesar but finished by Augustus in 13 BC who dedicated it to his nephew Marcellus.
