NOTES: This drawing is one of a number of miscellaneous topographical drawings by Sir Charles Barry and John Lewis Wolfe made during their tour of Italy, Sicily, Greece, Asia Minor and Egypt between 1817 and 1820. Labelled 'Supposed palace. Medinet abou.' this shows Medinet Habu, the name commonly given to the Mortuary Temple of Ramesses III, before excavations which only started in 1859.
