NOTES:
EIleen Gray prepared designs in 1946-1947 for a cultural and social centre which she hoped would be a contribution to the post-war cultural revitalisation of provincial France. The finished design contained an exhibition gallery, a conference centre, a library, a cinema, a restaurant, dance areas and cafes as well as an open-air theatre. The designs were only published later in 1959 in l'Architecture d'aujourd'hui.
