NOTES: These alterations were projected for the dowager Duchess, widow of the 10th Duke who had died in 1793. Bradley House was a large 17th century house illustrated in 'Vitruvius Britannicus', vol. II, pl. 56, by an elevation and ground and 1st floor plans. Bonomi's proposals do not appear to have been executed and in 1821 much of the house was demolished. The main block of the house, shorn of its wings and much altered in the 19th century, and the office wing to the south are all that survive of the mansion.
