NOTES: Sir Hugh Casson and Neville Conder were responsible for the 1950s development plan for the university and designed several of its buildings. The building in the foreground on the left of the image is the Library designed by Verner Rees in 1957-1960. The tall building in the centre is the Muirhead Tower by Philip Dowson of Arup Associates, built in 1968-1969. The Faculty of Commerce and Social Science is visible on the right.
