SOURCE: Builder, vol. 25, 1867 Nov. 23, p. 855 NOTES: The building site was part of the gardens of Burlington House. This was to be the first permanent building specifically constructed for the University of London although there were no courses taught in it - only examinations and degree ceremonies were held here. In 1900 the University moved out and civil servants moved in.
