Vicar's Close, Wells, Somerset: perspective view of restored terraced housing and the chapel at the north end

NOTES: Vicar's Close originated in the 14th century and is believed to be the oldest continuously inhabited street in Europe. Its terraced houses were built to house the Cathedral's choir members.
