NOTES: This was the first reinforced concrete building in Britain. It was designed by the French engineer Francois Hennebique, pioneer of a reinforced concrete construction system which he first patented in 1892, while its construction was supervised by his UK agent, Louis Gustave Mouchel. The mill was demolished in 1984 when the dock was filled in for redevelopment.
