NOTES: Grey Street, Grainger Street and Clayton Street were three grand new streets in the city centre laid out by the builder and developer Richard Grainger between 1834 and 1839. The design of the west side of Grey Street is attributed to John Wardle, an architect in Grainger's office. John Dobson was responsible for the design of the east side.
