NOTES: This view was drawn by James Deason while in the office of Anthony Salvin. This manor house was built in the 1440s for Ralph Lord Cromwell, Treasurer of England. It suffered severe damage from bombardment in 1644 during the English Civil War and was partially demolished afterwards. It has been deserted since the 1770s.
