NOTES: Stowe School was created in 1923 as an independent public school for boys and occupies the great house and grounds of Stowe. The house, designed by Robert Adam and completed in 1774, was modified to accommodate staff and boys by Clough Williams-Ellis. This is one of several additions to the school.
