Notes NOTES: This castle was originally built in 1370-1382 by Louis I from Anjou in the style of a Gothic hunting castle. It was rebuilt in Renaissance style in 1548 and the present castle retains that look. It was the birthplace of the Hungarian Renaissance lyric poet, Balint Balassi (1554-1594).
