The architect Daniela Colafranceschi is Professor of Landscape Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture of the Universita Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria. Spanish architect Carme Pinos is the first woman to receive the Neutra Award for Professional Excellence (2016), the annual honor bestowed to groundbreaking practitioners by the College of Environmental Design and Department of Architecture. She is also the 2016 recipient of the Berkeley-Rupp Architecture Professorship and Prize, UC Berkeley's College of Environmental Design (CED).
