London’s proposal for the 2012 Olympics was to also develop a ‘legacy’ park for the future that would long outlast the temporary setting of the Games. It would be a park built largely from scratch and be a model of sustainable urban landscape design. This tour reflects on that legacy from the sculpted wetland bowl to the inspirational architecture of the RIBA Stirling Prize shortlisted Velodrome. Your guide will be photographer Anthony Palmer, who worked on the park from 2007 and as a Stratford resident continues to keep in touch with all the developments.
