The wharves of Rotherhithe were some of the first in London to undergo a post-industrial urban regeneration. From a landscape full of dockyards and timber ponds with trading connections to the Baltic and Scandinavian countries, the area is now largely residential while the past remains readable. Starting out along the canal of the Albion Channel, the walk will scale Stave Hill for spectacular views, consider the Georgian inspired modern apartments and end at historic Rotherhithe Village. Join photographer Anthony Palmer for a walk through the original Docklands.
