Cerámica Artist Talk: Emma Finch and Lanty Ball

As part of our Cerámica programme in collaboration with ECAlab, we are hosting a series of talks with the participating artists.

As part of our Cerámica programme in collaboration with ECAlab we are welcoming Emma Finch and Lanty Ball into the gallery to discuss their work in the current exhibition and their wider practice.

London based artist Emma Finch creates ceramics that depict the ever changing built environment. Vessels are adorned with images of buildings, recording and celebrating often undervalued and unappreciated spaces.

Working predominantly in porcelain and parian, a material designed to imitate marble in the 19th century, Lanty Ball makes ceramic vessels that become blank canvases for intricate designs and motifs to be etched.
