City Stories: A Photography and Creative Writing Course

Learn photographic techniques and produce new work about the city using words and photographs.

Guided and structured by a series of questions and metaphors about architecture – old/ new, absence/ presence, re-generation/ gentrification – participants will learn new photographic techniques, build their understanding of how to construct narratives (both visual and textual) and produce a new body of work about the city using words and photographs. Suitable for all levels. Participants must bring their own equipment; a digital SLR camera is recommended.

This workshop takes place Friday 6pm-8pm, Saturday 10am-4pm and Sunday 11am-5pm. It is inspired by the exhibition Mies van der Rohe and James Stirling: Circling the Square.

With Diego Ferrari and Jean McNeil.
