Design Quest: Mouse House, an architecture workshop for children aged 8 to 10

In this creative architecture workshop (for children aged 8 to 10), participants will create their own miniature Mouse House designed to meet the needs of its tenants, including furniture, interior design and exterior decoration.

About the Workshop

If a mouse had a house, what would it look like? Participants will be inspired by the British Architectural Library’s collection and use recycled materials to create their own miniature Mouse House designed to meet the needs of its tenants, including bespoke furniture, interior design and exterior decoration.

This creative architecture workshop is led by artist and educator Katie Kennedy for children aged 8 to 10 years.

All workshops require you to drop off your child by 11am and pick up at 4pm. They are led by professional educators and all materials are included in the ticket price, but you should prepare a packed lunch for your child. Online booking in advance is essential.

About the Workshop Series

Our Design Quest workshops invite children to use their imagination for a fun introduction to architecture. Previous workshops have seen participants draw digitally, design architectural elements, create architectural cushions, build 1:1 structures that can withstand the elements, develop a miniature village in Regent’s Park or assemble a flat-pack home for your family!
