About the Workshop
What does the perfect playground look like? In this workshop, participants will explore what makes a good playground before visiting Marylebone Green, Regent's Park to discover what makes playgrounds fun. They will then return to the RIBA where they will have a chance to share their experience and think creatively about what else could work within the space.
In the afternoon, participants will design a playground that brings people together. Using the RIBA's architectural books, they will develop their own ideas to decide where their playground will be built, what equipment it will have and the layout of their design. They will illustrate and present their imagined playgrounds using storytelling through animation using iPads.

About the Workshop Series
Our Design Quest workshops invite children to use their imagination for a fun introduction to architecture. Previous workshops have seen participants draw digitally, design architectural elements, create architectural cushions, build 1:1 structures that can withstand the elements, develop a miniature village in Regent’s Park or assemble a flat-pack home for your family.
