ecobuild is returning on 6 to 8 March at London's ExCeL and under new independent ownership, things are set to be very different.
The event has been designed and built around the needs of the industry, bringing to life the latest technology, freshest thinking and most innovative materials to keep architects and specifiers at the forefront of the built environment.
The renowned CPD accredited knowledge programme has been shaped with direct input from leading architects, such as Oliver Wainwright, Bill Dunster OBE, Lynne Sullivan, Robin Nicholson and Peter Murray.

The devastating fire at Grenfell Tower on 14th June 2017 had a number of significant implications for the built environment sector. This session will cover the RIBA’s response to the tragedy, including the Institute’s recommendations to the Hackitt Review of Building Regulations and Fire Safety. Launch of consultation for Joint Memorandum of Understanding (JMU) & Risk Tracker toolkit
In response to the significantly lower satisfaction levels articulated by contractor clients in the inaugural RIBA ‘Working with Architects’ client survey in 2016, the RIBA, CIOB and RICS are launching a JMU and risk tracker toolkit for consultation. Speakers: RIBA President, Ben Derbyshire and representatives from CIOB and RICS.

The UK government is currently making a number of critical decisions regarding its future relationship with the EU, as well as on our future immigration system, on skills and on standards. This session will provide the latest views and advice from the RIBA on government thinking, and what practices can do to build resilience to future changes.

Bill Dunster OBE, founder of ZEDfactory, author of ZEDlife and co-author of ZEDbook will be available for a 'meet the author' session on the Wednesday, between 4:30pm and 5pm.
The RIBA Bookshop & Meeting Space at ecobuild has been created in conjunction with Rockpanel and ROCKWOOL, and designed by Freehaus, an emerging practice based in north London.
