Family Fun Day
It’s the year 2100. What does the world look like? What challenges are there for architects and society? Join us for a day where we explore the environment’s impact on our building habits and investigate what architecture for the future looks like.
Floating City, Drop-in
Design and make your very own miniature futuristic building to add to our floating city of the future!
Future Communities, Drop-in
How might we live in the future? Where might we live? What materials would we use? Using drawing and collage, help us to create a collaborative map of your ideal environment for communities to live together in the future. We will think about how nature and the built environment can be integrated and how buildings will be adapted in the future in imaginative and innovative ways.
Our Digital Future: Designing with Coding, Drawing and Robots
Lutyens Room, midday to 1pm and 2 to 3pm
Limited spaces. Please note, this event is first come, first served.
How do you think robots, architecture and drawing will change in the future? Can robots create art? How will they help us in the future to design buildings? With inspiration from the RIBA’s collections and using some simple coding, micro:bits, digital drawing and iPads, we will try to find out and send a message to the future.
