Fire Safety Breakfast

The Fire Safety Breakfast will give an overview of the RIBA's position on fire safety to date, and share expert knowledge and intelligence of leaders in the regulatory and construction sectors.

What does the Grenfell Tower fire disaster and the Independent Review of the Buildings Regulations and Fire Safety mean for the regulatory system, the construction sector and property and insurance market now and in future?

The future implications for public safety, clients and architects of the devastating fire at Grenfell Tower and the subsequent DCLG cladding testing programme are not yet clear. The event will provide an overview of the RIBA position on the Grenfell Tower fire disaster and the Independent Review of the Building Regulations and Fire Safety led by Dame Judith Hackitt, and will share the expert knowledge and intelligence of leaders in the regulatory and construction sectors. Through discussion and debate, the speakers and panellists will identify the systemic, regulatory and cultural challenges, and will begin to map the way forward.
