RIBA launches brand new office in the Gulf

RIBA is celebrating the launch of their brand new office in the Gulf with lunch at the Shababeek Restaurant. This will be followed by opening remarks from Mehdi Taher, HM Deputy Consul General from the British Embassy in Dubai, and Clem Brohier, COO of RIBA, at the Masrah Al Qasba theatre. The event will conclude with a talk by Dara Towhidi, a partner and architect at Foster + Partners.

Over the last decade, RIBA has been working closely with partners in the Gulf region to deliver a suite of architectural programmes for our members and partners. In recent months, we have signed an MoU with Dubai Land, and delivered talks, discussions and outreach activities at Cityscape Dubai and Dubai Design Week together with a major place-making symposium in Kuwait.

The new office will act as the operational centre for RIBA, facilitating future activities in the Gulf and supporting members in the region. This is a key benchmark and a very exciting time for RIBA, our members and partners.

To mark this momentous occasion, we invite you to join us for a celebratory lunch at the Shababeek restaurant, followed by opening remarks at the Masrah Al Qasba theatre, from Mehdi Taher, HM Deputy Consul General from the British Embassy in Dubai, and Clem Brohier, COO of RIBA. The event will conclude with a talk by Dara Towhidi, a partner and architect at Foster + Partners.
