Discover a once hidden part of East London on this walking tour along the River Lea. Starting at the edge of the Olympic Park the route, on towpaths and cobbles, passes Georgian architectural heritage at Three Mills, alongside newly regenerated waterside homes and finishes at the sustainable community space of Cody Dock.

Over centuries of industrial invention, learn how the Lower Lea Valley was a place of perfume, ink production, milling and gin distillation. See the ironwork forms of the seven Victorian gasholders at Twelvetrees Crescent and public art along The Line. The Leaway is the backbone for an extended Lea River Park and, through newly designed architectural interventions, is joining up a delightful green route all the way to the River Thames.
