RIBA Passivhaus Webinar Series: Module Two

The RIBA has been exploring ways in which RIBA CPD seminars and courses can be made available digitally to the membership, in the UK and internationally. The RIBA is happy to be able to offer 1hr webinars on Passivhaus.

Module Two: The biggest hurdle - understanding the costs of Passivhaus

Join us for the RIBA Passivhaus Webinar Series this October and November, and find out the importance of delivering higher performing, healthier and more profitable buildings for your clients. For more information on individual modules, view the RIBA Passivhaus Webinar Series Factsheet (PDF).

RIBA has developed the 2030 Climate Challenge to help architects meet net zero (or better) whole life carbon for new and retrofitted buildings by 2030. It sets a series of targets for practices to adopt to reduce operational energy, embodied carbon and potable water. If all RIBA Chartered Practices meet the RIBA 2030 Climate Challenge targets, they will play their part in addressing this global crisis. More information and guidance can be found here.

The target operational energy use for domestic buildings by 2030 is <35 kWh/m2/y or the equivalent of Passivhaus, with a focus on a fabric first approach. Practices working in the domestic sector committed to meeting the RIBA Climate Challenge targets may be interested in learning more about Passivhaus principles through this Webinar Series.
