Architectural Walking Tour: Pathways to 66, Soho to Covent Garden

A two hour architectural walking tour of Soho and Covent Garden for RIBA Friends

London’s West End is one of the most architecturally diverse pieces of city in the world. It is a place where Georgian, Victorian, Art Deco, Modernism, Brutalism and everything in between sit side by side and where each new street turn reveals a new story in the city’s mixed up history.

In the second of four new architectural walking tours, exploring pathways to 66 Portland Place, The London Ambler charts the buildings and spaces of Covent Garden and Soho. From showpiece 17th century piazzas and clubhouses to grimy warehouses, back streets and urban clearances, it explores the grandiose, the sublime and the everyday architecture at the heart of the capital.
