RIBA at Conservative Party Conference 2019

Together with the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), the RIBA will be hosting an event on 'The built environment pushing for the Northern Powerhouse'.

The built environment pushing for the Northern Powerhouse

The government’s bold vision for Britain requires continued investment in our Northern Powerhouse, pioneering ideas and fresh ways of doing things. This involves boosting the local economy by developing high-quality infrastructure, and connecting businesses, people and places. Priming cities, towns and villages to reach their full potential by investing in skills, innovation and connectivity is vital for the success in the North.

The Joint Institutes CIOB, RIBA, RICS and RTPI have invited The Rt Hon Jake Berry MP, Minister of State for the Northern Powerhouse to deliver a keynote speech on the government’s plans to deliver economic growth and quality infrastructure across the North of England. This will be followed by a networking reception.

Please note: this event is being held within the conference secure zone, and a pass to Conservative Party Conference is required to attend. Passes are available to buy from https://conservativepartyconference.com/index.

Please get in touch with the RIBA Policy and Public Affairs team if you have any questions regarding the event.
