RIBA Gloucestershire are delighted to invite you to an evening with Piers Taylor, a renowned award winning architect, broadcaster and academic.

Piers' Invisible Studio recently won an RIBA National and Regional Awards 2017 and the RIBA South West Sustainability Award 2017 for the Wolfson Tree Management Centre at Westonbirt Arboretum. His built work has been published extensively and internationally, and typically pushes boundaries in terms of cost, technique and process. He is known for his resourceful ‘thinking outside of the box’ and his challenging of mainstream convention in architecture and in education.

Piers is known for his work on several major BBC Two Series' - 'The World's Most Extraordinary Homes', 'The House that £100k Built' and 'Britain's Most Spectacular Backyard Builds' - as well as being crowned the winner of Celebrity Mastermind in December 2016.

A regular contributer to the Architects’ Journal, and having previously written for Blueprint, Building Design and the Architectural Review, Piers' talk is anticipated to be extremely relevant and critical of architecture today.

This event is free to RIBA Members thanks to the kind sponsorship of Ibstock and the RIBA Local Initiative Fund.
