RIBA North East Mental Health Wellbeing Workshop

This workshop will provide an overview of common mental health difficulties including a summary of causes and risk factors, signs and symptoms and how these might manifest in the workplace.

Join us for a free half day Wellbeing in the Workplace workshop.

Heavy workloads, long hours, conflicting deadlines, difficult meetings, budget constraints and other factors can lead to mental ill health. Many architectural practices have nothing or little in place to support employees around mental wellbeing, yet there is plenty that can be done to help employers and sufferers to create a healthy working environment providing what it takes to be a supportive employer.

Mental health includes our emotional, psychological and social wellbeing. It affects how we think, feel and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others and make choices. This workshop will provide an overview of common mental health difficulties including a summary of causes and risk factors, signs and symptoms and how these might manifest in the workplace.

You will also be provided with tools and interventions practices can use to promote wellbeing, support colleagues and staff and information on where to access appropriate external support if needed.

This event is free to attend but booking is essential.
