We are pleased to announce that the architects shortlisted for the RIBA Stirling Prize 2019 will come together in a unique event in Sheffield to reveal the stories behind their buildings.
The Sheffield Society of Architects (SSA) in conjunction with RIBA Yorkshire are hosting this year's prestigious Stirling Stories North event.
All of the architects shortlisted for the 2019 RIBA Stirling Prize will reveal the stories behind their buildings, what inspires them, and what it would mean to win the UK’s most prestigious architecture prize. The event will include the opportunity for you to participate in a Q&A session.

The evening will commence with a short drinks reception and canapes with an opportunity to network followed by the evening proceedings, which is hosted by Oliver Cunningham, a previous Stirling prize winner with dRMM for the redevelopment of Hastings Pier.
We are pleased to also confirm a keynote speaker for the evening Nigel Dunnett, Professor of Planting Design & Vegetation Technology.
Nigel Dunnett - The promotion of urban environments which are rich in vegetation and nature is central to Nigel’s teaching and research. Nigel currently teaches at Sheffield University, is a Royal Horticultural Society Ambassador and was lead horticultural and planting design consultant for the London 2012 Olympic Park.
The event will conclude with an after party at Sheffield’s newest and unique food hall, Kommune.
