Skill Up: House of Tomorrow, an architecture workshop for ages 15 to 18

In this creative architecture workshop (for young people aged 15 to 18 years) participants will consider the challenges architect’s face and discuss and research housing and the needs of the tenants, whilst learning architectural drawing skills using both digital and hand-drawn techniques.

About the Workshop

What is your vision for the House of Tomorrow? Working to a professional brief, participants will consider the challenges architect’s face and discuss and research housing and the needs of the tenants, whilst learning architectural drawing skills using both digital and hand-drawn techniques.

This creative architecture workshop is led by artist and educator Katie Kennedy for children aged 15 to 18 years.

All participants must arrive by 11am. These workshops are led by professional educators and all materials are included in the ticket price, but lunch is not provided. Online booking in advance is essential.

About the Workshop Series

Designed to ‘Skill Up’ teenagers who are thinking about studying architecture or design, in past workshops participants have learnt how to work to an architectural brief, improve portfolios, develop architectural drawing skills using a variety of media (including digital drawing on iPads) and photography skills, and work individually and collaboratively to think about how to design sustainable and responsible architecture.
