Steven Holl and the Maggie's Centre display

A display of design drawings by Steven Holl Architects for the new Maggie's Centre at St Bartholomew's Hospital, generously gifted by Steven Holl as part of a recent donation of work to the RIBA Collections.

This display features original sketches, watercolours and a model, which form part of a recent generous donation of work by Steven Holl, acclaimed American architect and RIBA International Fellow, to the RIBA Collections.

The display focuses on the latest Maggie's Centre, designed by Steven Holl Architects, which opens this December at St Bartholomew's Hospital in London. Maggie's Centres have become widely acknowledged as a leading innovation in healthcare design since their inception by Charles and Maggie Jencks in the 1990s.

Drawings and watercolours are central to Holl's approach to design development, and are charted in a series of sketchbooks, some of which are reproduced alongside original works in this display.

The display is timed to coincide with the AIA/RIBA Keynote Lecture by Steven Holl on Tuesday 12 December.

Open 10am to 5pm, 7 days a week.
