Workshops for young people

Workshops for young people

Join our learning opportunities and creative workshops for young people and consider the challenges that architects face in contemporary practice.

Inspired by the RIBA Collections and seasonal exhibitions, you’ll develop your knowledge of architecture and feel empowered and motivated to positively influence the built environment.

Our Skill Up workshops are designed to ‘skill up’ teenagers who are thinking about studying architecture or design. Workshops run for one to five days and invite you to think critically, share your views on architecture and express yourself through creative practice.

Our workshops run 11am to 4pm, are drop-off, and are for all abilities. Workshops are led by artist and architect educators. All materials are included in the ticket price, but you should prepare a packed lunch. Online booking in advance is essential.

Do you share a passion for architecture and design? Join our free Young People's Forum for ages 16 to 24. The Forum is member-led and meets regularly for practice visits, workshops, debates and more.

We also have courses and workshops for families and children
