The RIBA is a global professional membership body driving excellence in architecture, with more than 47,000 members worldwide. Through our work we champion better buildings and places, stronger communities and a sustainable environment. We provide the standards, training, support and recognition that put our members both in the UK and overseas, at the peak of their profession.
RIBA International offers support for members based or wanting to work overseas, with four global regions - Americas, Europe, Middle East & Africa, and Asia & Australasia - and 5 established International Chapters serving local communities of architects across the world and hosting regular events and activities.
We promote our members internationally through a strong presence at international conferences and high profile events and through initiatives such as our International Prize and Awards.
We also collaborate with international institutes of architects and other international architectural organisations to develop innovative projects, support global networking and promote design excellence.

“The coronavirus outbreak is a concerning and developing situation and we are monitoring the implications carefully. We have staff on hand both in China and the UK to support our members who live and work in the region, guided by advice from the relevant experts and authorities.
