Equality, diversity and inclusion

The RIBA believe a diverse profession representative of society as a whole is pivotal to meeting the challenges of the future

The RIBA is committed to making architecture and the broader construction industry more inclusive and believes a diverse and inclusive profession, representative of the societies our members work within, is pivotal to meeting the challenges of the future faced by our profession.

We work with and support our members to maximise potential value of architects’ diverse backgrounds, knowledge, skills and experience to build a stronger, more productive and creative profession in which all members of society have an opportunity to thrive and excel.

We support this vision through a range of initiatives; from providing advice on setting up a mentoring programme to the forthcoming Practice Role Models project which aims to question and broaden the notion of what it means to be a successful RIBA Chartered Practice.
